The Educators' Ball hosted by PTCWA

-
The Westin Hotel

PTCWA is hosting the inaugural Educators’ Gala Ball on Saturday, 9 August 2025, at the Westin Hotel in Perth. (flyer attached).

All educators and their partners are warmly invited.

For those who travel far, or wish to make it an even bigger night, we chose to hold it on a Saturday and at a hotel in the CBD with several hotels in close proximity. We have also negotiated a discount rate at the venue hotel, The Westin.

This event is designed to:

  • celebrate the invaluable contributions of all involved in education
  • foster a stronger sense of professional community among education staff and
  • raise funds for charities that help children in educational need; this year’s beneficiaries include:
    • Ronald McDonald House Learning Program, supporting children who have missed school due to serious illness
    • Royal Flying Doctor Service, whose work in remote and regional education is widely respected

Now in its 19th year, Western Australia's Innovators of the Year 2025 program recognises innovation amongst the youth for the first time through the Young Innovators of the Year award category.

Sponsored by the Young Entrepreneurs' Academy (YEA), this platinum award category acknowledges and rewards exceptional young innovators in Western Australia who have developed an outstanding innovative product, technology, or service that clearly demonstrates an economic, social or environmental benefit to Western Australia.

Financial education in schools - what do students, parents, and teachers say?

Join us for the launch of Ecstra Foundation’s 2025 national financial education in schools survey results.

Ecstra commissioned YouGov to survey students, parents and teachers across Australia about their attitudes, behaviours and experience relating to money and financial education. The results provide new and valuable insights into what money topics students want to learn more about, teacher feedback on how to make financial education more effective, parents views on financial education and digital financial literacy.
